Transformations
I enrolled in the 16-week PFC fitness program on August 27, 2025, with Coach Smruti Sahoo, and the program is now finished. I wanted to write an honest note about my experience and what this journey has meant to me.
I joined because I was thinking seriously about long-term health and independence. I have seen how difficult old age can become when people lose strength and mobility, and I did not want that for myself. I also had a personal motivation: I experienced body shaming when I was younger, and that stayed with me. I wanted to feel strong, confident, and in control of my health.
Before joining, I felt bloated almost every day and I could see belly fat developing. My periods were irregular, my muscle strength was low, and I felt tired and fatigued often. It was a wake-up call. I found PFC through my husband, and Smruti’s own transformation story inspired me and gave me confidence that change is possible with the right guidance and consistency.
At first, the program felt overwhelming. Measuring meals, tracking calories, and doing workouts after work was not easy. I also aimed to average 8,000 steps a day, and some days I had to go out after work just to complete them. I had soreness, low energy, and I honestly felt like I was functioning like a robot.
Slowly, things changed. My energy improved, I started enjoying strength training, and the routine became sustainable. Meal prepping helped a lot, and Smruti’s guidance made it practical even on busy weeks. The biggest learning for me was that a healthy life is not about cutting carbs drastically or doing crazy workouts. It is about realistic, practical, and personalised food and training habits, built slowly and steadily, so you can carry them for life.
What really made the difference for me was Smruti’s coaching style. She is very patient, very clear, and genuinely involved. She never made me feel judged, even when I asked basic or “silly” questions. She answered everything calmly and properly, and that made me feel supported throughout. Accountability was also a huge reason I stayed consistent. Having Smruti to report to made me take the program seriously, even on days I felt tired. I gave my best effort, and her feedback felt like the real reward.
The video feedback was one of the best parts of the program. Initially I hesitated to record videos because it felt like extra work, but Smruti made me comfortable and helped me see why it matters. Once I started sharing videos regularly, I realised I was doing many things wrong without noticing. She reviewed my videos properly and corrected my technique and form, and those small fixes mattered a lot. This is also what helped my progress show up much more clearly and consistently.
We also had weekly review calls, and those were genuinely helpful. She checked in on my whole week: challenges, sleep, how the workouts felt, how the diet was going, and what changes were needed. It felt personalised, practical, and encouraging.
Even though I trained at home with limited dumbbells and resistance bands, I learned how to train properly and progress. I saw clear improvements in strength and control. For example, I started with wall push-ups and could not do even one proper push-up, and now I can do 5 in a row. These wins taught me the magic of consistency, and I can see how it applies in other parts of life too.
I also learned about recovery. When I felt unusually exhausted, Smruti suggested a deload week. It was new to me, and it taught me that rest is part of progress.
During the program I also had stressful weeks with exam preparation and an interview, and I still managed to stay on track most of the time. That consistency is something I am proud of.
Now that the program is over, I feel stronger, more energetic, and more confident. I am continuing strength training and a balanced diet, and I am grateful for the foundation this program gave me.
One honest note: over time I became a bit obsessed with the routine, and at one point I even thought about pursuing fitness as a career. I am not doing that right now, but it shows how much this program changed my mindset and made me genuinely interested in fitness.
If someone is considering working with Smruti, I would genuinely recommend her. She is supportive but also honest, she pays attention to details, and she really helps you build habits that feel realistic and sustainable.
Thank you, Smruti, for the guidance, patience, and for helping me build habits that feel real and lasting.
Working with Smruti has been an incredible experience. When I first started, my goals were clear—lose weight, build muscle, and feel stronger overall—and Smruti guided me through every step with genuine care and expertise.
Her approach is structured yet flexible, making it easy to stay consistent without feeling pressured. The workout plans are thoughtfully built to push me just enough, and I can clearly see the difference in my strength, endurance, and muscle definition.
Thanks to her coaching, I’ve lost weight in a healthy, sustainable way while gaining real strength and visible muscle tone. I feel more confident, energized, and motivated than ever before.
If I could wish for one improvement, it would be a little more encouragement during those weeks when life gets hectic. We all have ups and downs, and sometimes a bit more reassurance or flexibility would make the journey feel even more supported.
Overall, though, the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I feel stronger, healthier, and far more capable than when I started. If you’re looking for someone who truly knows how to guide a transformation, Smruti is the coach to go to.
